Local discovery only works when people can trust the businesses they find. The platform needed a backend that could coordinate vendor onboarding, identity, search, reviews, moderation, communication, analytics, and administrative oversight without turning trust into a superficial badge.

I worked on backend capabilities that connect onboarding, authentication, search and discovery, reviews, messaging, notifications, analytics, and auditability. Each part contributes to a platform where trust decisions can be managed rather than presented as a superficial badge.

The system combines an API-focused Python backend with PostgreSQL for persistent platform records and Docker for repeatable service packaging. This gives operational teams a coherent basis for moderation, communication, and oversight alongside discovery.
